2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoons salt
2 ounces semisweet chocolate
1 tablespoon milk
3/4 cup butter (not margarine)
1/2 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup slivered blanched almonds, chopped
Sift flour with salt and set aside. Carefully melt chocolate and cool. Cream butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Blend in cooled chocolate. Blend in milk. Gradually add flour and salt and mix well. Mix in chopped almonds. Preheat oven to 350 degrees f. Shape dough into balls and roll in granulated sugar. Put balls approximately 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet (they don't spread very much). Bake cookies 12-15 minutes.
