2 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup cocoa
2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup milk
2 teaspoon vanilla
2/3 cup crisco; melted
2 eggs

3/4 cup milk
1 cup sugar
4 tablespoon flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shortening
1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix first group of ingredients together in a large bowl. Drop by teaspoonfuls or tablespoonfuls on an ungreased cookie sheet. Size varies by the different size spoons. Bake at 350 degrees f for about 15 minutes. It takes two cakes to make one pie. Then for filling: Mix milk and flour. Cook until thick; let cool. After mixture has cooled, add shortening, sugar, salt and vanilla. Mix together with an electric mixer. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Spread between 2 layers of cookie tops.
