Asparagus Corn Casserole

1 (1-pound can) cream-style corn
1 (14-ounce can) asparagus tips
Salt and pepper
1 egg, well beaten
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 cup cracker crumbs
1 tablespoon heavy cream
Crushed potato chips


Mix all ingredients except potato chips; place in greased 1 1/2-quart casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with potato chips. Return to oven for 5 minutes.
