Chocolate Angel Food Cake

12 egg whites
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder


Beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Beat in cream of tartar and vanilla. Beat in 3/4 cup sugar. Sift together remained sugar, flour and cocoa. Fold into egg white mixture. Pour into un-greased tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. You can sprinkle with powdered sugar, drizzle with chocolate sauce, top with fresh fruit, have it plain.
