1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 tablespoon salt
5 1/2 cups pecan halves
2 jars maraschino cherries, drained and halved (16 ounce)
1 pound diced candied pineapple
1 pound chopped pitted dates
6 eggs
1/2 cup apple juice
Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, salt in large bowl.
Add pecan halves, maraschino cherries, pineapple, pitted dates; toss to coat. In small bowl beat together eggs & apple juice. Then add to the fruit and flour mixture. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Grease 2 9x5 foil lined pans. Press half of mixture into each pan. Bake for 1 3/4 hours or until a wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool in pans 10 min. And then remove and also remove foil. Brush with corn syrup. Cool completely.
