Meat and Vegetable Casserole Supreme

1 pound ground beef
3 medium baking potatoes, peeled and sliced
3 medium onions; peeled, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
1 stewed tomatoes

Preliminary: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Fry beef in a large skillet, breaking up with a spatula, until no pink color remains. Drain. Arrange a layer of potatoes, a layer of meat and a layer of onions in a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish. Season with salt and pepper; repeat layering until all ingredients are used. Top with tomatoes. Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour.
