Creamy Caramel Frosting

2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup buttermilk


Mix the ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. With your cooking spoon, drip a few drops of the boiling liquid into a cup of cold water. When you can pick up the droplets with your fingers, the frosting is done. Remove from heat. Let cool for 10 minutes. Beat until it starts to stiffen & lightens in color. Immediately spread on cooled cake
