1 1/2 cups sugar
3 1/2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 eggs beaten
1 cup chocolate chips
1/2 cup shortening
2 teaspoons nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 cups raisins cooked in
1 cup water
Dissolve the baking soda in water raisins were cooked in. Add to the dough. Then spread dough on cookie sheet. Dough will be thick but try and spread rather thin. Bake in 9x13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Frost with favorite frosting or dust with powdered sugar.
