Popcorn Balls

2 cups brown sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
1 cup water
4 T. butter
3 teaspoons vinegar
7-8 qts popped corn
1 cup salted peanuts

Cook top 5 ingredients until soft ball stage (230 -240 degrees on candy thermometer). Pour over popcorn and form into balls. Coat hands with butter to aid in forming popcorn balls. Wrap in saran wrap.(I have been trying to find the recipe for the popcorn balls that the Bismarck Demonettes make to sell as a fund raiser. This recipe is pretty close.)
